About the event

Dear friends of music,

the longing for spring has grabbed us all! We hope you had a nice Easter and you are ready to enjoy spring with us. On the occasion of the 225th birthday of the composer Franz Schubert, we will take you away with ourSchubertiadeinto the world of the 19th century. With the song no.swan songwe present Schubert's last great series of songs and present the poems by Ludwig Rellstab, Heinrich Heine and Johann Gabriel Seidl set to music. The program is supplemented with works by Schumann & Mendelssohn, the composers of the Romantic era. We step on May 24, 2022 at 7 p.m. in the Karl-Borromäus Saalas part of the District Festival Weeks Landstraße and a month later, on06/24/2022, at the Mariahilf District Festival Weeks,at 7 p.m. in the Salvator Hallon.Check out our Youtube Channel and Podcast - A Lyrical Singers Lifedrop by and get in the mood for Schubert's Schwanengesang with exciting background information and text readings of the poems.
